So sick. Been growing on me for months now but I am really feeling it. Why am I so repressed? Really need to take some mushrooms and smear myself with ash paste and dance around to this. Or so I'm told. Almost tempted to buy a CD just for easy repeats... Anyone have any further recommendations along this line? Music has to be played with conviction, not just be a mishmash of the same sources...

By "along this line" do you mean basically stoner rock with kind of fourth world/fusion influences?
Yeah, though the more funky the approach, the better (favorite tracks start with the word "goat").
I started writing a lot more but now I figure - new, if not quite fully-developed, blog entry... see above...

Dunno how funky they are but if its commitment you are after I recommend Earthless also the first Witch album from a few years back is great (Mascis on drums)if you DONT want it funky then Grails, Master Musicians of Bukake, and the daddies, Savage Republic...
